For my student show I decided to go for a more comedic approach
by making it sound like there are two people hosting the show and constantly arguing
when in fact I was just doing two different voices. I found this to be quite a
fun way to do the student show and so felt more motivated to do it. With the
adult show however I wasn’t too sure how I could go about it so I decided to play
it safe and just do it as myself with no particular angle. This however I believe
made the show rather boring and uninteresting, if I had more time maybe I could
have thought of a better way to do the show so it’s more interesting.
Perhaps my student show was a bit too immature for its intended
audience however I believe the reason might be due to the fact that I am quite
an immature individual, perhaps next time I do a radio show for a teenage audience
I could get some opinions from others from this age bracket. With the adult show like I mentioned before I believe
the parts in which I am speaking are too boring and could do with a bit more enthusiasm.
The technical quality, though not as professional as a real
radio show, I believe is good. I did have to do bit of editing in order to get
all the audio levels at the same volume. Compared to a professional radio show
of course this is nowhere near as good. One such example is that my voice isn’t
a clear as it could be, this however is due to the fact that we were only using
basic audio recorders instead of highly expensive equipment.
For a first attempt at doing a radio show I believe that I have
done an okay job, not bad but okay. I put this down mainly due to the fact of inexperience
but also possibly that I feel I didn’t have as much time as I would have liked.
